Enjoy the flavours of the Méditerranéen every night in The Restaurant with the exciting launch of our Menu à prix fixe Italiano.

This great value fixed price, two or three course Italian menu is the inspiration of Executive Head Chef Danny Queen and Restaurant Manager Victor Calo.

Danny was keen to create a modern and innovative menu showcasing the finest fresh ingredients. Inspired by the flavours and dishes from Italy the concept behind the set menu is simple, to offer delicious, high quality cuisine, at a decent value prices.

Born and Raised in Italy, new Manager Victor is excited to be serving authentic Italian food to guests in The Restaurant. He has selected the ideal wines to perfectly accompany the dishes. For example, to compliment the pate di fegato, pane grigliato & pepperoncino (Chicken liver pate, grilled bread & pepper chutney) he would recommend the Chianti Superiore Il Leo Ruffino. A Vibrant cherry and violet scented Saniovese backed by a smooth yet refreshing finish. Or a bottle of the Corte Vigna Pinot Grigio a floral racy and dry wine with a crisp green fruit flavour would be the ideal match for the salmone supremo – salmon steak with crushed potatoes, olive & red tapenade.

So much more than just simple pizza and pasta, this new menu offers a delicious journey through Italy. The delectable starters include favorites such as garlic dough balls with a spicy calabrian salami paste or deep fried, four cheese tortellini with classic tomato ragout.

Likewise the main events comprise of baked chicken breast with tomato and parmesan crumb, or lasagne al forno with garlic bread & green salad leaves. Of course the classic twelve inch stone baked Sicilian pizza is available with your choice of olives, artichokes, charred peppers, rocket & mozzarella.

Italy takes desserts seriously and the new offering at Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport does too. How does tiramisu, the definitive Italian dessert of coffee & mascarpone trifle sound? Or our Italian twist on classic fruit salad Frutta di vino rosso & vanilla crema. No Italian menu would be complete without gelato, the Clayton Sundae satisfies the sweetest of teeth with vanilla ice cream, gooey brownie, cookie crumb and cream all drizzled in white and dark chocolate sauce.
