Trafford Centre

Trafford Centre has a fabulous array of stores, leisure facilities and dining options available. There are branches of all the major brands across all categories including fashion, jewellery, cosmetics, toys, homewares, electronics and gadgets. 

Some of the leisure facilities include Laser Quest, Legoland Discovery Centre and Sea life providing activities for all ages. The centre offers free parking for 11,500 vehicles. There are a number of events at the shopping centre all year round and for groups there are special offers and discounts available.

Manchester Arndale & Market Street

One of the most popular shopping districts in the UK. With a retail floor space of approximately 1,500,000 sq. ft, it is home to many of the top retail brands in the world.

Manchester Arndale has the best stores across all categories including fashion, jewellery, cosmetics, toys, homewares, electronics and gadgets. After busy days shopping visit the food court on the first floor for a well deserved break.

National Cycling Centre

The centre was the first indoor Olympic cycling track in the UK and is now regarded as one of the very best tracks in the world.

Over the years, The National Cycling Centre has expanded to include a purpose built indoor BMX Complex as well as offices for British Cycling. There is a comprehensive BMX track program available allow riders of all ages and skill levels to get involved.

Old Trafford Cricket Ground

One of the oldest test venues in England, Old Trafford Crick Grounds has hosted many of the world’s top cricket matches including the Ashes and the 1956 Cricket World Cup semi-finals. The ground is currently home to Lancashire County Cricket Club and the England cricket team. The ground is also used for hosting concerts and has newly refurbished conference facilities.

Manchester United FC

The most successful football club in England, with a global fan base attracting thousands of fans to the city each week. Also known as “The Red Devils” the club are also one of the richest football clubs in the world. With a proud tradition of winning matches and titles, under the management of club hero Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United went on to win an astounding 38 trophies between 1986 and 2013.

The Lowry

The magnificently designed arts venue is located on the Salford Quays. The Lowry had a set out with the vision of becoming the world’s most successful arts venue. Regarded as a must-see local attraction, everything about the building encourages you to explore further. There are two main theatres as well as a studio space which presents a huge range of performing arts alongside the works of LS Lowry and other contemporary exhibitions.

Bridgewater Hall

Manchester’s state-of-the-art international concert venue hosts over 250 performances a year. Inside the magnificent pipe organ plays centre piece to a 2,400 seat auditorium. Bridgewater Hall is home to three orchestras the Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata.

There are numerous events to choose from all year round and is well worth a visit.

Science and Industry Museum

The museum showcases fascinating exhibits on a range of topics including aerospace, computing, locomotives, industrial machinery.

Tatton Park

Tatton Park is one of the North West’s most popular heritage attractions welcoming over 800,000 visitors each year. Take a stroll around the estates award winning gardens, tour the mansion, visit the farm, relax in the 1,000 acre deer park.

Quarry Bank Mill

The mill was originally built in 1784 to spin cotton and remained in production until 1959. See how cotton was produced and get insights into the lives of the families who worked in Quarry Bank Mill including the workers houses.

Manchester Art Gallery

The wonderful collection of fine art spans centuries and includes many major modern and contemporary pieces. Collections include 19th-century British paintings, decorative arts, ceramics, silver, glass and furniture. The museum is open all year round and admission is free.

Manchester Central

The convention centre was originally one of Manchester’s main railway stations and the original fixtures and fittings still remain providing an authentic and original charm. Whilst having all of this old-world charm it is cutting edge in technological requirement for conventions, exhibitions and events.

Chill Factore

The longest indoor real snow slope in the UK! Year-long skiing and snowboarding are available at Chill Factore in Trafford Park. Snow enthusiasts can purchase ski lift passes from 1 hour to a day. Equipment hire, lessons and coaching are available.

Runway Visitor Park

A must-see attraction is the Aviation Viewing Park and the incredible Concorde exhibition. The Runway Visitors Park is a great day out for all of the family and it on the opposite side of the airport complex, a short 3 miles from Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport.
