The easiest way to get from Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport to the Manchester City Etihad stadium is to drive. You can reach the Etihad stadium in just over twenty minutes and the route is very straight forward. From the hotel you can reach the M56 within a few minutes, from here you drive for eight miles and then take a right on to the A34, after two miles join the A6010 and then after another few miles join the A662. This will bring you directly outside the stadium, there are lots of parking facilities available around the area for a small charge.

By Train/Tram

Manchester Airport train station is accessible from Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport via our free shuttle service. From here you can get a train to Manchester Piccadilly train station very frequently which takes around 15 minutes. When you arrive at Manchester Piccadilly it is just a short walk to Piccadilly Manchester Metrolink which is signposted well. From here you can get a tram to Etihad campus, this is Ashton under Lyne direction. From Etihad campus metrolink station you can reach Manchester City; Etihad stadium within ten minutes of walking, this is an easy route and is well signposted.

By Bus

Although you can reach the Etihad campus quite easily from Manchester Airport by bus, it is the most time consuming option. From Manchester Airport Bus Station you can get the bus number 43 towards Wythenshawe and Withington. This will take just over one hour to reach Piccadilly gardens. From Piccadilly Gardens you can get the bus number 231 towards the suburbs of Clayton, Droylsden and Ashton. It will take ten minutes to get to Sports city. From here it is a few minutes’ walk to the Etihad Stadium.
