Manchester’s Etihad Stadium welcomes global superstar Robbie Williams to the stage summer 2017 as he performs his eleventh studio album live.
Former Take That member, Robbie Williams, brings his ‘Heavy Entertainment Show Tour’ to the UK in 2017. Manchester is very excited to have Robbie perform on the global platform in June, his first solo appearance at the Etihad since performing here as a group with Take That back in 2010. A week after releasing his new album in November 2016, Robbie made the announcement that would ensure summer 2017 is one to remember for all Robbie and Take That fans across the country.
Since leaving the infamous boyband ‘Take That’ in 1995, he launched one of the most successful solo careers ever. He now holds the title of the best-selling British solo artist, as well as being one of the biggest selling artists of all time throughout the world. The tour is inevitably predicted to be a sell-out event; it will be his 12th solo concert tour following Swings Both Ways Live, which came to the Manchester Arena in 2014.
The Etihad Stadium is now home to Manchester City Football Club, after having been originally built for the purpose of the Commonwealth Games in 2002. Since then, it has been host to a variety of sold-out music concerts and welcomed many iconic superstars such as Oasis, The Stone Roses, Dizzee Rascal, One direction, George Michael and many more. Having a maximum capacity of 60,000 for performances, it is one of the largest music venues in the UK, when outside of the football season.
Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport is a convenient, airport location for those attending the Robbie Williams ‘Heavy Entertainment Show Tour’ at the Etihad Stadium. The hotel offers direct transport links to and from the city centre; being only 15 minutes away in a cab and the metro link station opposite the hotel offering easy access to Etihad Campus Station, fans are guaranteed a stress free journey on their way to enjoy the sounds of Robbie Williams.
